Most sponsorship programmes pair one donor with one named child. We have chosen not to do this — and the reason matters to us deeply.
Our children are profoundly sensitive to rejection. The thought of one child receiving a sponsor while another waits, unseen, could be devastating to a heart that has already known too much loss. So instead of matching, we gather.
We are looking for roughly 200 donors to walk alongside the approximately 200 children we feed every single day in our soup kitchen. Every child is held by the whole community of donors — not assigned, not ranked, not left waiting. When you give, you are not choosing one face over another. You are helping to make sure no child is left out.
That ongoing commitment becomes part of how a child sees themselves. Not as someone the world forgot — but as someone the world chose.
Elpida — on the meaning of sponsorship
Born in a
soup kitchen.
The kitchen is run by Love Looks Like Something — the place where Elpida was born.
What started as a daily meal has grown into a mission that walks with children through every season of their growing up. Elpida is now gearing up to build the schools and bring the wider vision to life.
Once that happens, every sponsor will be warmly invited to upgrade or redirect their giving towards school fees — carrying the same children forward into their education. For now, your giving takes care of their most basic, immediate needs.

There is no fixed amount and no minimum. Donors are invited to give a donation of their choosing.
Regular giving is what tells a child the world keeps showing up for them — consistency is the gift. And we gently encourage participation, because our children are starved for attention and affection, and presence is worth as much as provision.

We warmly encourage our donors to spend time with all of our children. If you cannot be there in person, we would love to bridge the distance for you.
